The Little Earth Trilogy was inspired ages ago when my first Grandson Jack was a toddler and was staying with me while his Mum and Dad had a well earned break. At that time, I lived in a little village in Kent named Newenden. It is quite rural and the river rother was literally just across the road from my house. Jack and I were out for a dog walk with my beautiful German shepherd Muttley and my equally gorgeous old English sheepdog Tallulah. We chose to walk along the tow path. The sun was shining and my imagination was busy as ever. I made up a story for Jack about a little dragon that, through no fault of his own, was unable to control his fire and caused mayhem because of this.
Jack was thoroughly entertained with my story telling and when we got back home he wanted to hear it again. Inspired by Jack’s enthusiasm I decided to write the story down for him…and then it morphed and then it morphed a bit more.
And here we are, almost fifteen years on with almost seven hundred pages of story. I was advised from people that know far better than me that this was too long for one book. So ‘The Little Earth Trilogy’ was conceived and created.
I very much enjoyed the writing of this epic fantasy that sees five generations of the Edgar pixie clan. I have been looking forward to sharing them with the world for a very long time. I hope you enjoy reading about my fantasy world and love my characters as much as I do.
